PedsPal is a group purchasing organization that was created in 2004 when the physicians at Cook Children's Health Care System wanted to help other physicians save money on practice expenses, especially vaccines. This program, created by doctors for doctors, has now grown to more than 3,200 members in 47 states – almost exclusively though peer to peer recommendations.
Today we serve physicians in many specialties and can provide discounts on all medical supplies and equipment. We work with individual practices, large group practices, medical societies and hospitals across America to consolidate our purchasing power into lower prices and more support from our vendor partners. In return, we promise our vendors that our members will be loyal to our program. Saving our members millions of dollars has given us a great reputation and new members joining every day.
PedsPal, always free to our member physicians, is funded though administrative fees paid to us by our vendor partners. Some of these fees we are able to share back with our members.
Another unique aspect of our program is our burning desire to support the continued independent practice of medicine. This desire leads us to work on projects that you won't find being pursued by other GPOs – like vaccine reimbursement, 2D bar codes for vaccines, improved EMR tools improved vaccine storage solutions and strategic partnerships. If these are important to you and your practice, please join us and become part of our effort to give physicians the option to succeed while remaining independent.
